The Brixton Light Festival was an annual community-led arts and culture event, co-organised by Schaerer Architects in collaboration with local residents, artists, and civic partners. Established in 2022, the festival transformed streets and public spaces through light installations, performances, and neighbourhood participation, creating a platform for creative experimentation and shared urban experience. Through its ongoing involvement, Schaerer Architects contributes to shaping the festival as both a cultural event and an urban intervention, strengthening community connections, supporting local creative economies, and promoting inclusive, sustainable approaches to public space.
