Guiding future growth

The masterplan for St Andrew’s School for Girls provides a long-term framework to guide the school’s future growth. Evolving over decades around a historic Cape Dutch homestead, the campus had developed organically, resulting in a mix of structured courtyards and more fragmented newer buildings. The masterplan re-establishes a clear spatial order through a network of primary and secondary routes that connect a series of green courtyards, while reinforcing key historic axes and views. This approach enhances the visibility of heritage buildings and creates opportunities for carefully integrated new development. The framework has since informed projects including staff housing, the STEAM Centre, and the junior boarding house, supporting a more cohesive and legible campus environment.
